Annual Events

VBS

Vacation Bible School is one of the greatest opportunities we have to reach all people, especially children. It is a week-long, summer event that teaches God’s Word and the hope that He gives through Jesus.

Trunk or treat

Trunk or Treat is a safe alternative to “Trick-or-Treating” with bounce houses, carnival games, food and, of course, lots and lots of vehicles filled with candy. This event is held on October 31st of each year, giving families a place to come and enjoy a time of dress up and fun, while hearing and seeing God’s love.

At Summer Grove, we take the safety and security of children and students very seriously, especially when they are in our care. For that reason, we have these measures in place:

  • Check-in system for preschoolers and children. Every child birth through 5th Grade is required to have an adult drop off their child at appropriate drop-off locations. For most weekly activities (Bible Study, Kidz Worship, AWANA), each child will receive a name tag along with a Parent Pickup Tag which must be presented at the time of pickup in order for that child to be released.
  • Screened Volunteers. All volunteers who work with children under the age of 18 are handpicked by our ministers and required to have an up to date background check. We continue to update these background screenings as we recruit new leadership and repeat background screenings every 3 years
