Please join us as we celebrate Dr. Rod Masteller’s 13 years at Summer Grove and wish him well as he “retires” from the pastorate, but Dr.Masteller will continue full time work with the Caskey School of Divinity of Louisiana Baptist College. He will work as an “Ambassador”, sharing with pastors, churches and prospective students their vision of raising up a new generation of leaders who will carry God’s work forward in the years to come.

Bro. Rod,
You have been a great pastor, mentor, Bible teacher, and friend! I have never heard anyone preach the Word of God with such emotion, and passion. You have influenced my life in more ways than you can imagine, and I’ll always cherish the times we had together in Oklahoma City at Putnam City Baptist Church, and in Shreveport at Summergrove. I know you’ll continue to serve God until He either returns, or calls you Home. Please pray for me as I begin the next chapter of my career in Georgia.
