“Where there is no guidance, a people falls; but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” - Proverbs 11:14
There are times when you face problems which seem to extend beyond the scope of regular pastoral counseling; marriage, separation or divorce, children problems, acute stress and depression, drug and alcohol abuse, etc.
If a church member or a person in the community should need counseling, their problems will be handled confidentially. Referrals to other mental health professionals will be made if deemed necessary. We do not share information from the counseling office with anyone without their written permission.
“For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11
Christian Counseling is a unique place of healing and growth. We provide a distinctively Christian viewpoint by integrating Biblical truth and psychological theory. Our goal is a well-rounded approach to the individual’s problems. This includes consideration of the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of healing. Our mission is to allow Christians to maximize their coping skills by utilizing basic caring and counseling methods combined with spirituality at its center.
“The Lord has anointed me.. to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release for the prisoners… to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve… to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” - Isaiah 61 (NIV)
“He comforts us in all our troubles, so that we in turn may be able to comfort others in any trouble of theirs.” - II Corinthians 1:4
