Purpose Statement

The Summer Grove Baptist Church Women’s Ministry exists to equip women to use the gifts God has given them and encourage them so that each woman will develop a deep relationship with God, His Word and one another through serving our church and our community.

G.U.M.B.O.

Girls CRAFT NIGHT: God Understands Mom Being Overwhelmed Tuesday night, March 9, 6:30-8pm in the Manna House, for fun and fellowship. Women’s craft night, we will be making wonderful art and materials will be provided, no creativity required (you do not have to be a mom to attend)!!! Please call the Women’s Ministry office or email me at women@summergrove.org if you are interested in attending.

Active Ministries

Sew Much More Ministry

Fellowship while you sew, quilt, knit or crochet. Bring your own project and equipment. We are providing space for your sewing machine. Come and work on a provided mission project. Thursdays, 9:00 am-2:00 pm. Room 20W.

WMU – Women on Mission

Women who share a commitment to God’s global mission. Hear our missionary speakers and learn about our mission projects on the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 am in Room 3-E. Contact June Brabham, 318-687-4833, for more information.

Mom2Mom

Our group meets on the first and third Thursday each month from 9:30am - 11am.  During our meetings we eat & socialize with other moms and hear devotions that will bless our day. Please plan to join us and bring a friend. Childcare will be provided, children will have a great time doing crafts, singing songs and hanging out with friends in a loving, safe environment.  To register: email sgpreschool@summergrove.org.

Kid’s Night Out - March 12

Kid’s Night Out (newborn to 5th Grade) 6-9pm at Safari Park. $5 per child. Register in SS class on Sunday mornings.

Storytime @ Starbucks

Meet us at Starbucks with your children for Storytime at 4800 Line Avenue on Wednesday’s between 9:30am-10:15am:
