Faithful, Abundant, True: Three Lives Going Deeper Still – (Women): (3E)
Facilitator: Gerri Magee
This is a video-driven study featuring Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer and Beth Moore. Each one speaks on the distinctive topic the Holy Spirit had led them to teach and messages result in a marvelous blend. Kay challenges us to faithfulness in difficult days. Priscilla points to the essential of trust in God’s ability, and Beth teaches on how to discern truth from error in these difficult times.
The Bible in 90 Days – (Coed: 5E)
Facilitator: Associate Pastor of Median and Mature Adults, Dr. Murry Hodge
The Bible in 90 Days is a Bible READING curriculum that helps people read attentively the entire Bible — from cover to cover. It is NOT a speed-read through the Bible; rather, it’s akin to reading the Bible like a novel. Each participant reads on his or her own then gathers once a week with other participants. The weekly meetings include guided small group discussion, activities and a video lesson.
The Truth Project – (Coed): (6E)
Facilitator: Associate Pastor of Education, Frank Teat, Jr.
The term “worldview” is basically a way of looking at the world and how we relate to it. Many believers live very similarly to non-believers regarding their “worldview” and as a result, spend money and time on things that fail to satisfy. This leads them to wonder what life’s ultimate purpose really is. This 12- week DVD study challenges and teaches us as Christians to look at life from a Biblical perspective or Biblical “worldview” regarding basic issues of human life. Each lesson counteracts certain accepted truths in today’s culture and calls ordinary people to make an eternal difference in our world as they are “transformed by the renewing of (their) mind” (Romans 12:2).
GriefShare – (Coed); (2S)
Facilitators: Dr. Quinn Nyman Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Jeanne Nyman, a Certified Christian Counselor.
GriefShare is for people grieving the loss of someone close. Each session includes a video seminar and group discussion. The workbook will assist you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, and each week deals with a different subject like why?, the journey of grief, God’s prescription for grief, and others. Childcare is provided, must register 683-6949.
