Character
It is all about being a blessing . . . Genesis 12:11-3 Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
It is all about creating an aroma . . . 2 Corinthians 2:15,16 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?
It is all about joy . . . Psalms 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; at you right hand are pleasures forevermore.
It is all about thinking about the right things which creates a positive attitude . . . Philippians 4:8-9 Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Unity
It is not about me . . . Galations 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ: it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
It is all about family, “It Feels Like Home” . . . Ruth 1:16, 17 Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you: for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.
It is all about love . . . John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
It is all about partnerships . . . Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.
It is all about participating in worship . . . Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching
Excellence
It is all about passion and purpose . . . Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
It is about priorities . . . Malachi 3:10 Bring all of the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessings that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Servanthood and Humility
It is all about serving . . . Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
It is all about surrender . . . Job 13:15 Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him. Even so, I will defend my ways before him. Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live in Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 3:10 That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death.
