She grew up in a musical family, and opportunities to sing in church helped foster her God-given talents and also gave her a heart for ministry. Lori and her sisters traveled for many years and became one of Louisiana’s favorite female vocal groups, aptly named, “The Bennetts”. The Lord opened many doors for The Bennetts to minister in churches, community events, prisons and nursing homes. They also shared the stage with some of gospel music’s finest, including The Nelons, Jeff and Sheri Easter, The Hoppers, Charles Johnson and The Revivers, and in 2002 the girls were honored to showcase their harmonies while opening for the Louisiana Baptist Convention.
Meaningful testimonies, tight harmonies, sensitive spirits, and most important, a desire to see others come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior gained The Bennetts the trust of many to present the Gospel in song throughout the South. Although the Bennetts are no longer traveling, their desire is still the same, to encourage God’s church and see souls saved.
Lori, along with her mother and two sisters, moved her membership to Summer Grove in 2005 where she is an active member of the choir and praise team.
