Rod Masteller
Senior Pastor
Dr. Rod Masteller is the Senior Pastor of Summer Grove. He and Linda have been married 40 years and have four beautiful daughters: Michelle Masteller Gage, Kimberly Masteller Welch, Crystal Masteller Gornto, and Heather Masteller Oathout.
Our Pastor received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwest Baptist University. He then achieved his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his Doctor of Divinity from California Graduate School of Theology and his Doctor of Sacred Theology from Southwest Baptist University.
Bro. Rod has been pastoring churches throughout the southwest for 37 years. Prior to coming to Shreveport, Louisiana, he was Vice President of Injoy Stewardship Services in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the years, he has played an active role with the Southern Baptist Convention having served on various boards and agencies. While serving as Pastor at Putnam City Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, he was elected President of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Pastor’s Conference. After serving on the state board of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he was recognized as the Pastor of the Year by that same organization.
